Kelowna Japanese Language Society Website
I have created a website for a Japanese language school and Japanese cultural heritage community in Kelowna, BC, Canada.
The client wanted a bright, fun, and friendly website that would make Japanese parents and children living in the area want to participate, so I developed a design with many illustrations. The theme colour is the same as their logo, and the overall shape and font are rounded to give welcoming impression.
Because multiple team members wanted to update information about events and other events in a blog format, we built it using WordPress. In order to be able to post blogs and event information at the same time, I focused on customization by using custom fields instead of plugins. I also created an original posting instruction using Notion and held a webinar for them.
After setting up the domain, local server, and Google Analytics, we received a new inquiry through the site within a month of its release. The website is growing into a cornerstone of the Japanese community in Kelowna.
